Abstract
This packet includes a variety of reports, working papers, and citations to published articles that have resulted from the University of Pittsburgh Recordkeeping Functional Requirements Project, funded by the National Historical Publications and records Commission. These items constitute preliminary and ongoing work of a project that is about half-way completed (a final report on the project will be available by Spring 1996), but we believe they represent significant efforts to define the content and importance of recordkeeping functional requirements for archivists, records managers, and other information professionals working with electronic recordkeeping systems. The first item provides a general review of the project and its activities. There is then several documents relating to the recordkeeping functional requirements. Following this, there are working papers on a variety of aspects being investigated as part i=of the project, such as organizational culture dimensions and their influence on an organization's reaction to and use of the functional requirements. Finally, there are citations to some of the published products, either direct results of the project or influenced by the project's ongoing work.
