Abstract

The October 2014 Lunch and Learn Talk provides a kickoff to Open Access 2014. Included are an update on recent events, policies, and legislation surrounding Open Access and highlights of the ULS's Open Access Week events. Also featured are examples of questions the Office of Scholarly Communication and Publishing regularly receives about scholarly communication, scholarly publishing, altmetrics, and Open Access, with suggestions for approaches to answering these queries in an authoritative way.
