Abstract

This presentation was intended as a tutorial to set the framework for a broader conversation at the World Innovation Network of Information Technology (WINIT) conference. The first part discusses the goals and frameworks of innovation policy and the second part examines how information technology plays a role in innovation. The latter is built on the notion of scientific workflows.
