Abstract

The Office of Scholarly Communication and Publishing of the University Library System, University of Pittsburgh developed this document to introduce to their journal publishing partners their metrics tracking systems: Open Journal Systems’ native usage statistics, Google Analytics, and PlumX. Used in conjunction with a hands-on training session with a journal’s editorial team, the document provides an overview of each system, including information on how to access and account set-up, an overview of the various data types and analyses, and an explanation of how to interpret the reports generated by each system.
