Abstract

This report documents seven individual student comments officially submitted to, and published by, the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in February 2022 regarding its draft National Coverage Determination for monoclonal antibodies directed against amyloid for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The comments were developed as part of an optional assignment in "Evidence," an undergraduate communication course at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to the full text of comments as they appeared on www.cms.gov, the report provides background on the critical approach used by students to generate comments as an optional course assignment.
