Abstract

Because of the variation in mission, approach, and values across disciplines and at each of the campuses of the University of Pittsburgh, the authors sought to investigate whether these regional contexts result in 1.) different perceptions of prestige and the activities that constitute prestigious activities, and 2.) different views on what individual scholars and their review committees value in their scholarly communication activities.

This dataset includes the transcriptions of the semi-structured interviews with regional faculty across many disciplines.
