Abstract

The identity of iSchools has drawn widespread attention in the iSchool community. Education of library and information science has been changed to adapt to the new environment. In this paper, through quantitative study of each iSchool’s mission and vision, graduate program design, graduate core course design, faculty members and graduate students’ research interests, and student career information, we identify the current status of graduate education inside iSchools. The paper ends with discussions on the potential direction and suggestions for iSchools graduate education.
