An Efficient Preparation of 3-Perfluorooctyl-1-Chloromethoxypropane and Application of the Fluorous MOMCL in Tagging Hydroxyl and Amine Groups.
Master's Thesis, University of Pittsburgh.
(Unpublished)
Abstract
A fluorous MOMCl has been synthesized and the preparation is amenable to a 10g scale synthesis. Tagging of both primary and secondary alcohols were achieved in good to excellent yield. Successful detagging was achieved in most cases by employing Lewis or Bronsted acid conditions.
