Abstract

En este artículo sostengo que Borges, en “La noche de los dones”, postula una teoría narrativa del proceso del conocimiento. Para esclarecer esta cuestión, en primer lugar explico qué quiere decir teoría narrativa del proceso gnoseológico. Seguidamente, sostengo que, pese a que dicha teoría se formula siguiendo la teo- ría de las Ideas de Platón, Borges relocaliza los materiales de denominación grie- ga a partir de una narración gauchesca, que exhibe características antiplatónicas cruciales. Esto le permite a Borges considerar el acto mismo de narrar como el centro de la pregunta que interroga por el origen del conocimiento humano.
