Abstract
This thesis describes the synthesis of two peptidomimetics containing heterocyclicphosphate group mimics. These compounds are based on a potent STAT3 inhibitor andtherefore have the potential of being SH2 domain ligands. Due to problems with the purificationof the final products, the mimetic containing the isothiazolidinone (IZD) moiety was obtained in< 87% purity and the 5,6-dihydro-2H-1,2,6-thiadiazine 1,1-dioxide (TDA) analog was isolated in< 57% purity based on NMR analysis.
