A study was performed on dipole-bound anions of 27 molecules containing either a carbonyl, sulfoxide or nitrile group. Rydberg electron transfer (RET) reactions with rubidium atoms excited to ns S and nd D excited states were used for the purpose. The dependencies of the electron affinity upon dipole moment, dispersion interaction, polarizability, conformation and geometry of the molecules were also investigated. 2 2
