Abstract

This installation features a discussion about the ULS’ strategic partnership with the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) a Canadian federally funded research initiative that seeks to improve the scholarly and public quality of academic research through the development of innovative online environments. Learn about the role of the ULS as PKP’s first major development partner and how this partnership benefits researchers at Pitt and around the world. We’ll show local examples of PKP’s four major software platforms: Open Journal Systems (OJS), Open Conference Systems (OCS), Open Harvester Systems (OHS), and Open Monograph Press (OMP). We’ll also report on last month’s PKP 2013 Scholarly Publishing Conference in Mexico City.
