Abstract

This brief presentation shares details about two sections of a Digital Narrative & Interactive Design (DNID) class visiting Archives & Special Collections (A&SC). The course, co-taught by English Department and Computer Science faculty, features a main assignment Arduino project where students select a children’s book, identify a scene, and create two technological engagements using Arduino. A Primary Source Toolkit developed by a team at Pitt was employed during instructor consultation, curation, development of engagement activities, and assessment of projects at an end-of-term student showcase hosted by A&SC.
