Abstract
Everyone who works with young children has a responsibility to recognize the ways we may play a role in perpetuating and disrupting the social injustices that negatively impact their development and ability to thrive. If we believe this, then we must explore the ways in which we view, welcome, and interact with children and their families is influenced by the racial experiences that shape both us and them. My Racial Journey 2.0 helps us recognize and challenge the ways we participate – often unknowingly – in racism by developing basic knowledge and skills about race.
