Abstract

These data sets support the manuscript "Acoustic Emission Precursors and Aftershocks for Skull Fracture Caused by Surgical Clamping". The study was in compliance with the World Medical Association Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the institutional review board. One frontotemporal cadaveric dissection was performed in our laboratory, in a latex-injected, formalin-fixed head. Note these experiments were run on a roughly 80 mm x 50 mm section of skull on the right temporal and frontal bone of one cadaver. There were six locations tested in all, with testing notes for each location in Table 1 of the Supplementary Information file. Locations 3-5 are the focus of the results presented in the main paper and therefore are the locations for which data is provided here.
