Abstract

H2AX is an H2A histone variant that gets phosphorylated during a double-stranded break (DSB) in the DNA. It is phosphorylated at serine 139 and thus forms γ-H2AX. The formation of γ-H2AX serves as a great indicator of DNA double-stranded break. It has application potential in clinical and research settings. It can potentially be used to detect cell stresses and cancer. The data set contains demographic information about 47 subjects and measurements of C and H2AX under treatment and control conditions. The demographic data were analyzed and visualized to gain insight into its distribution. R programming language was used for statistical analysis. The analysis showed that there was no significant difference in H2AX levels among different demographics. In addition, no significant H2AX difference was seen between control and stress day visits. Additional data would be required to shed light on differences in H2AX levels among various demographics during different time points and conditions.
